I'm a polar bear sponsor
Feb. 24th, 2009 09:37 pmI decided today to be a sponsor for polar bears, so I signed up for it. I think it is horrible what the climate changes is doing and that the polar bears are dying :( The least I can do is sponsoring with some money. Money that I could had spent on something worthless, but now is spent on something that is really worth something.
I really want to do more if I can. I should see if I can do more to help because I really want to help our climate situation. One person doesn't pollute much but I don't want to be someone who does and I want to be someone who helps out and make a difference. So I'm glad that I take my bike to work every day even if there is snow outside, raining or is minus degrees and I won't get a car until they pollute nothing. Cars costs a lot of money anyway and I rather spend this money on doing something for the climate instead of ruining it.
I don't want to cause the polar bears to die or any other animal.
The only animal I eat at the moment is fish. But a lot of this has to do with that I think of the environment too. Because it wastes a lot of energy to produce meat and it pollutes a lot to transport the meat. And I hate that animals are produced just to be eaten or used by humans. And I do fine without meat. I don't miss it at all. The food I love the most is vegetarian food. And it doesn't hurt that I got a kidney stone that teached me to drink more water and eat less meat. I don't think I ate a lot of meat before but I have been thinking for several years that being a vegetarian is something I could do. Hopefully I won't get any more kidney stones because nowadays I changed my diet, but my health was just a bonus in this... and my health is also just a bonus when it comes to my biking...
Well, now I'm both a sponsor for starving children and polar bears. I could probably sponsor a lot of things... but I'm not rich and I hope I will be able to help out in other ways then only give money and think of how I live my life. At least I think I have picked two very good causes to give money to :)
