Statistics
May. 31st, 2014 01:05 amI can't stop thinking about the EU election apparently. Finally they have finnished all the calculations and it is interesting to see the statistics of how people voted. And today I discovered something that made me happy so I just had to share it. In the area where I live most people voted for the same party and even for the same person as I did! :D Wow! I didn't think I lived in such a good area. I thought most people here would vote for the right wing parties but if you calculate the right wing parties against the left wing parties guess who wins? The left wing parties! :D Woho! And in my fancy area were I live! How cool! :D I guess it won't be the same thing in the election to the parliament but if it will I would be very happy. And the amount of people voting for a xenophobic party is quite low, lower then the result in general in Sweden so it feels good that most people here are not xenophobic. Most people here are like me. I seem to have the typical values of a person living here. Feels good :) It were 59% of people in my aprea voting which is a better percentage then the total in Sweden which was 51%. I really hope that more people will go voting for the parliament election in September. Usually people care more about the elections concerning Sweden. I'm hoping for the left wing parties to win of course. And I'm hoping for the green ones to get many votes. I would be very happy if they got second biggest party in Sweden again but I would guess for third biggest and that's not so bad. When I started voting in 2002 (I was 18 then) I voted for the green party too (and have done ever since) and they made it to the parliament and that was all that mattered then since they were such a small party. But now they have grown and grown. Feels very nice to have seen them growing :)
Oh such a joy to know that 22% fantastic people out of the 59% who voted are just like me! :D and 7% voted for the feminist party which is also a very good party (and that is more then the people here voting for the xenophobic party which was 5,7%). There is hope for the world. There are "real people" out there ;)
Actually in several election tests I made I scored highest for the feminist party with the green party just a percentage or so below. But my heart still beats most for the green party so they got my vote again. The environment will always be most important. Human rights is also so very important, but I know that both of those parties cares a lot about those things :)
My age group is also the majority in this area (I'm the youngest in that age group though) which can explain that they think the same way as me. Haha, I'm really a typical voter for the green party. A young high educated female living in a big city. Statistics is fun :)
EDIT: I know that not all people care as much for politics as I do and I know that there are people caring more then I do too. But to not care at all is very strange to me because if you don't then you don't care about yourself because not all people in this world even have the right to vote and this is your chance to make your voice heard. To say what you think and what you think is important. It is your right. And it is not that difficult to find information about the different parties you can vote for and not difficult to vote either. Not caring to vote is almost as bad as voting for a xenophobic party. And if you at least are against xenophobic people then you can at least vote on something else... there must be something you care about? It is strange to me with people who don't care at all for politics because it is like not caring for yourself. Because it is about you and your future.
